Claudio is an accomplished International session stylist who has worked with top hairdressers in Rome, Paris and London. Drawing on his Italian roots and combining his European influences, Claudio has developed an extensive range of cutting and styling techniques.

His passion for hairdressing become apparent when he worked for various top Italian hairdressers, Claudio was fascinated by the way in which hair was cut and he learnt the art of “observing and imitating”.
“The way I was learning hairdressing was instinctive, simply because hairdressers don’t teach they observe and imitate that’s why I became fascinated by creating hair styles, because I was playing with the hair without the need of techniques… I still remember it was just fun to see the way I developed my creativity.”

Feeling the desire to travel and learn new skills Claudio left Italy to Paris in 1991. This was the turning point in Claudio’s Career and he worked on developing his craft and began to get involved in session work styling hair for magazine photo shoots and fashion shows.

After settling in England and working in London as an Artistic Director for three years, Claudio opened his own salon Contrasti. with a thriving business Claudio worked to build the Contrasti brand.

Claudio often participates in shoots, his work has been published in magazine editorials, such as Shoo, Clash, Collezioni, Hairdressers Journal, Tramp, News of the World Sunday magazine and Hello. Claudio’s session styling has meant that his talents have been seen at the Mondialle Coiffure show in Paris and Salon International. As an appointed ID artists by L’Oreal, Claudio educates and informs other hairdressers of the latest trends and techniques.
